Friends

A very early supermarket shop, remarkably not to manic....we are hopeful that we won’t need to go back.
We had a lunch date with our old friends from when we lived near Mt Cook some forty six years ago.  We don’t see them very often, but when ever we do its just like old times. Three hours later we called it a day....I had some baking to do (gluten free chocolate brownie for the berry chocolate trifle.)

We watched the TV news earlier, it reduced me to tears seeing the devastation from the fires, listening to the folk that have lost everything fronting up to the media.  Too sad. 

We’re now settled down and watching a very old movie (1997), an Ozzie one called The Castle.  Apparently it is on a (someone’s) list of the ten best movies one should see in a lifetime. 

Oh, and btw....it’s the longest day of the year, and it’s blimming freezing.
