Fruit cake

After last night's party the family slept late. I didn't, possibly because I baked for a bit last night. The peace and quiet this morning meant I got the place tidied up and back to normal with no interruptions. I'm in charge today as there is no school holiday programme.

Later we marzipanned, iced and decorated the fruit cake, for daddy. Now it's safely stowed in the salad spinner, to keep the ants at bay.

Jaya, lunch and a two hour pool session had been the rest of the day. This evening we're out for an early Christmas dinner before the other grandparents head off to Guilin in China tomorrow.
