A Live Radio Play

Dear Diary,

I've never attended a play like this.  Instead of a performance of "It's A Wonderful Life", it was a play of actors doing a live performance of a radio show broadcast and we were the audience at the radio station.  Five very talented actors played multiple parts, women played male parts as well as female parts, as they use to do during radio shows and we could see how the sound effects were created.  It was just fantastic.  The man who played George Bailey recreated the Jimmy Stewart role to perfection, voice inflections, stammer and all.  All you had to do was close your eyes and the movie rolled on the back of your eyelids.  The small Portland Stage Theater was a perfect venue for a production of this kind.  You really did feel like you were part of it all.  Today is a day of preparation, making my Impossible Meatballs, reading and just hanging out with Louisa May.  It was a very busy weekend!
