Cyclops Santa

At Sunday school we were helping the young children make angel decorations.

I said to one of them that they may find in 30 years time they will still be hanging it on their tree. They did not look convinced.

But each year we bring out decorations that have been kept over the years. Made by ourselves, our children or carrying some memory or sentimental feeling.

And so it is with this string of Santa’s which hangs on the inner door and a bell tinkles when moved. I only noticed today that each of the 3 Santas has just one eye. No idea when that happened. But it’s not going out in the bin.

May have to make eye patches - or new eyes!
