Laborious effort

This amaryllis, a Christmas gift from a Niece doesn't have any idea what a crap shoot it's taken on. My thumb is not green. it doesn't even have the slightest tinge of green anywhere remotely near it.
Will open fully before it's demise? If your the betting sort of person, side with "fail".
