Dawn - Scapa Flow

This time last week all ferries over Scapa Flow were cancelled because of large wave action and wild winds.  Today we could have walked across.

Who remembers the scene?  Eric Sykes, in his bath, when his sister ‘Hat’ comes in with a new loofah.  She was taken aback because the bath was full to the veritable brim; also he has several model vessels in the water.  He intones the epic words ‘Dawn – Scapa Flow’.  Mr Brown, the neighbour, or Corky were not in attendance

After acquitting myself like a young gazelle at dancing this morning (the dance du jour is ‘The Wapenshaw’) I arrive home to find CMC is preparing an incredible menu for tonight’s dinner.  Dougal and his manager are attending.  Ben Riach has arrived early.
