Station Approach

You know when you live somewhere for many years, then suddenly discover something on your doorstep? Well this view is about five minutes walk from my place and I've never seen it before! Also, behind where I've taken this photo is a large urban woodland called Summerfields Wood and I didn't know that was there either.

So I feel a bit silly.

Had I found the woodpecker I could hear happily pecking at trees, you'd have had a completely different photo. But I didn't so this is the approach to Hastings station, looking from the west, on top of the tunnel that links it with St Leonards Warrior Square station.

No snow here, yet... but there was a heavy frost this morning.
