The four grandchildren and their parents have spent the last few days celebrating an early Christmas with us here.  They have had a hectic time seeing various things in Edinburgh including the Christmas lights, a theatre trip, the very crowded Christmas market and the spectacular light projections with virtual reality performers illustrating the history, geology and legends of Edinburgh Castle.    Unfortunately they have now travelled almost 250 miles home but not until after we had great fun playing several of their new Christmas games.
