Boas festas
Happy Holidays. People are wishing this to each other at the moment, as Mozambique has a good approach and shuts down fairly effectively over the Christmas period. By the end of January when some government counterparts are still on leave, the holiday season becomes more obstructive than celebratory, but it’s good for a few weeks...
I’ve yet to understand what this mural is depicting, but it’s an eye-catcher. It was a bright moment of a day completing a fairly torturous report. I had to liaise with a colleague in the UK in order to get some critical information, and it was all more stressful than it needed to be. He and I need to drastically alter our communication style in 2020: him to recognise that I’m flying solo here and need help, and me to remember that we are all programmed in different ways that might never change.
With just one deliverable left to wrap up, by the early hours I’d packed and started getting into the holiday frame of mind.
