Brave

You need to be brave ... and strong ....in today's world.  We learnt yesterday that a Park colleague had lost everything in the Adelaide Hills Fire at Woodside.  The good news is that they had been reducing their cattle herd, and had no stock left.  But family members got burnt, and are in hospital  They have lost their house and their belongings. 

Some very kind person has donated a car, so they can get around, and we as Friends of Belair NP and Friends of Old Government House were pleased to be able to donate $250 each group towards the on-road costs.

It's so hard to get your head into these shocking losses.  Apparently at least one third of the Adelaide Hills wine region has gone up in flames.  Some very well-known wineries have been wiped out.

And it ripped through the heart of our cherry, apple and pear orchards.

Truly awful.
