Poinsettia

The species originates in Mexico but is widely cultivated for ornamental value. It is mainly bought for Christmas in temperate regions, including the Benelux.
I have used the Christmas star / Poinsettia more often for a blip because it remains a beautiful plant at this time of the year. Just like amaryllis.
