The Sunday before Christmas 'our gang' of friends meet up for a festive feast.
For the past 10 years we have been treated to a full on Christmas dinner, hosted by Baz and Julie. This year however, we ate the main course at a local pub and while it was very good, it didn't match the standard of Baz's cooking.
Back to our normal venue where the 'girls' in the group provide a range of puds, cheeses and treats.
It is a winning formula which we all enjoy and, to be honest, it's my favourite day over the festive period.
It's a time to catch up on all the news of children and grandchildren, of ailments (quite common these days) and holidays.
It's probably the only time in the year that we are all together, making it a very special time.
Father Christmas always comes along with the secret Santa gifts. Just little somethings that prompt an 'Oh thank you!' or make us all laugh with their stupidity.
After eating far too much food, a quick pic of FC was all I could manage
