Musical horse

Bit of an odd day today. We did our shop at the supermarket last night with the idea of going to the Bio Coop in the morning. In the end we did stuff in the house as we didn't need much extra, but in the late afternoon we went into town to see the Christmas animations (pictured here). As far as I can tell it's a metal framed horse, covered in white fabric and illuminated from within, it's been hitched up to a small cart, on which there is a big music system blaring out non-festive but perfectly okay music. Behind the horse and cart there were a selection of illuminated dancers as well. It was all very peculiar, not sure where the tradition comes from, but it was fun.

For the technically minded the pictures were a nightmare to shoot, as there were people everywhere and the contrast between the illuminations and the darkness was more than the camera could cope with. This picture was imported from RAW and I ran a "triple exposure" setting on it., which uses some fancy logic to salvage something from the dark areas, without overexposing the light areas, and while it's not perfect, it's a lot better than I expected!
