Christmas Eve Greetings

As all our housework, shopping and festive food preparation was done  yesterday we decided to treat ourselves to lunch out today and start our Christmas early.  M has had a horrible cold for the last few days but was feeling much more his old self today too, so no further excuse needed.
We went to the Blakeney Hotel as they do a rather tasty 'Norfolk Dapple' cheese souffle served on wilted spinach with a buttery, creamy sauce.  It was absolutely delicious and really hit the spot (so to speak).  The meal was rounded off with figs baked in honey with mascarpone cheese...perfect.
We've been invited (along with other friends and neigbours) to A's this evening for drinks which will be a lovely ending to a perfect Christmas eve.
