Water Vs electrics - Arŕgh!

Started the day by ripping the screen half off of my laptop, by accident.  Whilst Sue took grandsprogs to a panto, I toured the purveyors of replacement laptops.  Didn't find what I wanted so went for a beer ++.
Arrived home to find that for some inexplicable reason the WC overflow was blocked and hence unable to cope with the full flow in to it from a malfunctioning float valve.
Sodden floors upstairs and down.   £500 excess on my insurance, so time to self help.
Lots of application of towels, and now an industrial dehumidifier in place.
Ah well, sent to test me, again.  Bah humbug.
