Making progress...
Some last minute local shopping for a couple of bits and pieces this morning - the roads were empty and ASDA was quiet at 0915.
Back home before lunch and tidied up the latest Port Appin model. This contractors bus is based on one that operated around Sunderland in the 1960s. It's a Bristol L5G with an ECW body. United Autos of Darlington sold it to Geo Stephenson, a Bishop Auckland contractor and I photographed it when on a building site near Shiney Row. I had a spare body shell of one so decided to put it to use as a bus that will appear on a Port Appin dam construction diorama one day. A couple of modifications and a bit of light weathering, it looks OK alongside a Wimpey contractors bus I built earlier.
