Another Day
We cycled back to the Lighthouse today. It was closed again. We still have no Tangerine Gin.
Today was bright and clear; sunny but windy. Yesterday's washing had refused to dry in the misty air so I had left it out overnight. It was snuff dry before breakfast.
The views were far clearer today but nowhere near as dramatic as yesterday.
This snap was taken on the return from the lighthouse, looking across towards Sagres.
We had a good day. I walked Nell whilst Mr L serviced the van. We cycled up to the lighthouse and had a lengthy conversation with a couple of Brits and then stopped at Beliche to speak with one of our friends from the Holi Diwali (promising to return and see them at some point in our future). After returning to the van we walked into Sagres for lunch (I had clams again!) and then shopped for a few items for tomorrow's picnic.
I am hoping that tomorrow's weather will be as good as today's. I am also hoping that the descent of the cliff doesn't beat me. Apparently the geology at the beach is very striking. Also, high tide is due around 2pm. I hope very much that we will actually find some beach to sit upon for our picnic.
If all fails to go perfectly then that will still be okay. We will have a fine walk, hopefully take some scenic shots, and can eat lunch perched on the cliff top if there is no beach apparent or if I quake with fear on the path down.
It's just a shame that we don't have the gin to come home to ;-)
Happy Christmas to those who do - Season's Greetings, health and prosperity to those who do not. Or something like that. In short, whatever you are up to at this time of year, do it in good health and with great happiness.
