Red-bellied Woodpecker

Have we not had enough deer at this point? Time to get back to a bird. This is a female red-bellied woodpecker.

This morning's deer were the duo of Mama with one young'un. But they suddenly put their heads up and looked alarmed when a young buck swaggered onto the scene. See extra. (You knew I couldn't stay away from the deer, didn't you!) I may have to load the extra later as it's being very pokey. Patience is a virtue... AH! Success!!
