Christmas meal at the Don’s in Alva

Just home from Christmas meal at brothers in Alva. It’s been a long day starting with present opening of a parcels from the Binnies and Phimisters at 3am. Thanks to Dave, Yvonne, Gemma, Barry, Calum, Kaitlyn, Dylan, David Jnr, Tracy and Ethan. The healthy eating options from each of the kids were. greatly appreciated. It was then off to Logie with flowers and wreaths before coffee and present exchange with neighbours Sem and Doreen. Taxi arrived at 13:00 to take me to Jimmy and Veronica’s where with Janice and Ebony w enjoyed a five star meal. It started with biscuit and a selection of cheeses with wine in the conservatory and then we moved to the dining room for the main event. Prawn cocktail was followed by lemon sorbet and then the main course of roast pork, roast beef and garlic chicken with all the trimmings including creamed Brussel sprouts with chestnuts. The sweet was a toffee roulade with fresh fruit salad and minted double cream and this was followed by freshly roasted coffee and mints.
Thoroughly enjoyable day and home in time for Mrs Brown.
