Cathedral at Christmas Mass

Being the organised sort of chap I can be, I arrived at the Cathedral about 20 minutes too late for the Midnight Mass. So, rather than waste the time, I took a few shots of the Cathedral as unusually it was lit inside and not outside (it’s usually the other way round).

As the sky was clear, I then drove out to Martin Down which is about 20  minutes out of town and took a few night shots. Cranborne Chase has just been made a dark sky reserve, which is great. It was really nice to see the night sky in such detail (the brightest spot is actually a nebula). Unfortunately, I didn’t see Santa though...!
