Home-made Christmas crackers

These are the home-made Christmas crackers that Katharine forgot to bring to our house yesterday. We cycled down to Leith this morning to enjoy the fun of pulling them and shouting 'Bang!' We also checked the numbers on the lottery tickets contained within the crackers - only to discover that we won nothing in the draw last night.

The delicious home-baked shortbread and rock buns were provided by Katharine's sister Mary. Unfortunately the effort of cycling to Leith and back will not have expended as many calories as those consumed at this wee tea party.

Other activities today have included making stock and soup, and proof-reading a couple of retrospective photograph albums for Mr hazelh. He's now hit the early 2000s in his archiving/publishing.

Exercise today: tiny amounts of walking and cycling.
