On the Texan Ranch

Today we have driven North from Austin to a secluded ranch where we will enjoy country living for the next 2 days. I was hoping to see some Longhorns and wasn’t disappointed.! 

On our way we stopped in Waco and the ladies had a browse in the Magnolia silo - I was more interested when I heard the iconic sound of a train arriving and it got more exciting when the enormous engines ground to a halt blocking a crossing right beside our car park. ( see extra) We had to step over the track and then 2 fire engines arrived and we were stuck for a while till they left. The reason for the drama was not obvious but the train and its huge convoy of wagons was still there when we managed to get away. 

The next 2 days should be fun !
