Boomer Again

He does love a stuffed toy. Particularly a new stuffed toy. This one is a snake. It makes a very unsnake-like squeak. Boomer is wearing, btw, his South African rugby shirt. The number on the back is 4 - which may mean something to South African rugby fans, or may just be a size. He wears this shirt just about all winter (he does take it off for bed). The original shirt was brought home by #1 Son when he visited his then girlfriend in SA in... 2009? It was much too small for Fiona, our Boston Terrier at the time. But we kept it. When Boomer joined the family in 2010 (Fiona having died in January 2010 at the ripe old age of 16) I realized he was sufficiently small to fit into the shirt and LO! it was perfect. He basically wore that one to a frazzle, so when #1 Son and his then wife went back for another visit we asked them to find another shirt. Which they did! Full disclosure: SA girl is now our former DIL, a US citizen, and living in Richmond VA with her new fella. Still friends with #1 Son, it seems - after a rather rough patch during the obtaining of the divorce. He has a knack for remaining friends with his exes, which I think is quite nice.
