I had so many gifts this year that were utterly lovely. This one pleased me greatly - a oysters of a younger Mum who gifted me with so much. I like to think of what I’d get her as I wander round the shops before Christmas - I saw some glasses she’d have happily filled with wine and the odd book she might have enjoyed.

Boxing Day was chilled and involved a walk at Dovestones to check how Mum’s tree is growing. Auntie Vic took the big two to the cinema in the early evening and we got a bit of tidying done.
