a visit to Groningen

I was determined to visit my ill niece in Groningen at some point in my holiday and today was the best time to make the long journey.
With on my phone a audio book Roads to Santiago, a travelogue by the Dutch writer Cees Nooteboom. It's a very interesting book about the history, art and literature of Spain. The book provides 12 hours of reading listening pleasure. That's a tad more than the train ride.

My niece awaits a research, because not all is going as expected.

In the entrance hall of the hospital there was this oliebollen stall. Couldn't pass it without buying one.
