Warebeth (Day 1696)

I preserved my unbroken record for falling asleep during Star Wars movies last night when  my beautiful wife, Luke and I went to the cinema last night. 
This morning, we all had an earlier start than usual because Luke was heading away on the first ferry of the day. While HV zoomed off to do hoss stuff, I spent a while doing house stuff until HV came home
We took a trip into town where we heard that on the Saturday before Christmas, the only Tesco on the island took a quarter of a million pounds, a figure I find rather mind boggling. I suppose there is a lot of stuff slowly decomposing in fridges at the moment.
After lunch, we took the woofers to Stromness for a wander and to check on the hosses. The wind wasn't as strong as yesterday, and there was no rain, making for a much more pleasant excursion. Talisker was particularly enthusiastic and bounded off the path and across the beach to attack what he thought was a seal, but turned out to be floating kelp.
