On the way back from the shops.

Parked the car on the outskirts of town and we walked to and from the retail park. A couple of Christmas returns and a faulty purchase, and some limited food shopping - good job I took the rucksack. It’s a fairly boring walk but the greenery is nice at a couple of points.

Back home to watch round 2 of the 1872 Cup, Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors, round 1 last weekend. Host Edinburgh won today 29-19; a really good game. Until 2018 it was an aggregate 2 round competition played around Christmas and New Year and very popular; now it concludes in May(?). I preferred the original format, we went to many games when the boys were young. Our younger son joined us for lunch and to watch the match. He wasn’t well so left afterwards - a lot of time out with friends etc and a really busy period before holidays has caught up with him. And there’s a few bugs going around too.
