Life on the river

We took a boat trip down the Perfume River in Hue.  It's just amazing seeing people doing their washing in the river.

We were joined by two lovely ladies from Hanoi,  we assume that they were mother and daughter. It was wonderful chatting with them.  They told us about an exhibition of embroidery and after the boat ride they showed us where the exhibition was.   The pieces of work were extraordinary, they looked more like photos or paintings.  However, as we saw some ladies actually working on some pieces I can assure you they were hand embroidered.  No photos were allowed, but I did get a couple of sneaky shots.
