Burnt

It wasn't until the smoke cleared for a while today that I was able to see the burnt bush in the distance.
This fire eventually came racing up to within metres of my house.
That was last week.
Much calmer today.

Too hot to do anything much outside, where I should be raking, at least.
Quite good for boring jobs inside, like cleaning out the pantry and wiping the top of light fittings, which I do once in a blue moon.
If the fire season continues for very much longer, my house will be spotless, if it's still standing:)
