Bark and bracken

It was a lovely mild day and I went for a walk from Ellesmere to Blakemere.  There were lots of people making the most of the weather but not many boats on the canal.  I was glad thatI'd put wellies on as the paths were covered in mud.

I liked this old tree against the bracken as the sun caught it.
