Three Snowys

We came across this trio as we were driving toward the Woodland Trail on this last morning before we headed home.  It started to sprinkle during our "hike" (I use that term lightly as the trail is paved and perfectly flat) so we picked up the pace and got back to the car before the pouring rain set it. 

The drive home was unpleasant because of the driving rain, fog and the traffic we hit near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge which added an hour to our trip.  Anyway, we arrived home in time to meet our neighbors for a pleasant dinner.  

The trip to Chincoteague and Assateague Island was just fabulous and I can't wait to go back with Wendy in the Spring. We were so fortunate to have gorgeous weather, sunny skies and upper 50's which is usually unheard of in December, so we can't really complain about today's rain.
