Holes

Spent all day with holes. Firstly creating them, then repairing them. All part of shoring up the edge of our drive that is slowly being eroded by a ditch/stream that flows directly past the house.

Seems like decades since last mixed cement & had forgotten just how much sand & gravel is in an m³ and how much it weighs when moved on a hand shovel from the ground into a mixer!

Although cold, it should just stay frost-free for next 48 hours so didn't need any large protection covering - only that to prevent chickens & cats leaving their footprints cemented in history.
