Simplicity

Be thankful for the simple things in life. There are always others who have it worse than you.

Tonight I am home. I am drinking from my favourite mug. I have my red boy lying next to me. I have had a wonderful week up north with the Ws. I have already had a portrait shoot since I got home. I am warm (with the heater on!). I am loved. I have more than a handful of true, wonderful friends.

So thank you Lord for the simple things in my life. Please give me the strength to be there for those who need me and to be what I need to be for them.

Today it is cold and rainy. Tomorrow I have a root canal.

It is what it is. I am very fortunate.
