A Rare Moment ...

... of co-operation from the FIL today. We didn't see him over Christmas, but left a bag of presents for him to open. He hadn't opened them when we arrived today, and refused point-blank to do so today. Somehow mrfsb managed to get him to open the present from his son, a series of drawings of garden birds. I put them on the window ledge where he sometimes watches the birds in the garden, and for about 5 minutes he seemed appreciative.

The main reason for our visit was to meet with the community mental health nurse to carry out a capacity assessment. There was a distinct lack of co-operation from him then.

Oh, by the way, mrsfb took this photo, though I did do the edit!
