Last snow blip....Hopefully!
The snow is rapidly disappearing here in the northeast and it appears that spring is almost here. Of course, the last time I said this, mother nature pulled a fast one and so I am hoping that this time it is different. You are unlikely to see many more snow blips from me in the future; however, I will be making a quick trip up north in a few weeks and some may re-appear then.
As the snow disappears, I am being re-thinking my blip subjects. Snow has been so much a part of my blipping up to this point and I have never blipped without snow on the ground. It is an interesting new challenge which I am looking forward to.
This is one of the few places left that still has much snow/ice. I think that it is due to the cold water, but the ice still seems to be melting.
From a composition standpoint, I tried to juxtapose the tree on the right with the expanse of frozen white. I like how the white area draws your eye into the picture and the vague reflections in the river.
Thank you everyone or your comments on my NY blips. I enjoyed traveling to the big apple and the new blip opportunities it presented.
No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast, brightness and white balance.
Constructive criticism always welcome.
