Misty Weir

I had to de-ice the cars before I went out this morning - wasn’t expecting that. I had a trip into Wetherby to go to the bank and to collect a few provisions for the rest of the week. I took the opportunity to wander down to the weir - found it back to normal levels after all the rain recently. There was also a slight mist rising off the water...testament to the rather low temperature! Stood for a while talking to an acquaintance - a photographer - who it turns out knows our intrepid blipper ‘Riversider’ - small world!

Had a lovely sunny walk out around the lanes and byways, not too muddy now. Finlay was tired when we got back...longest walk he has had for a while!

Made a batch of beef stew this afternoon - some for tea and several portions for the freezer...which is still not full!

Beers and wines chilling in the fridge - hope I can stay awake long enough to see in the new year!
