Skinningrove

Another morning seeking out the route of the old Middlesbrough to Whitby line via the East Coast.  There was once a cast iron viaduct across the valley here, all gone now but the old tractors in the harbour made an interesting picture.

The extra shows boats and tractors just along from the main pic.  Not a pretty place but a working village.  I once stopped here when I saw a couple of boats had just come in and went to the little hut to buy a lobster or some crabs.  The lads laughed at me and said, "Not a chance mate, everything we caught with shells on is on it's way to Paris right now"!
