Ottery St Mary Parish Church
No run today – a day of rest! TT decided to take a wander down memory lane today. Many years ago he attended a wedding in Devon and we went in search of the church and venue. This entailed a visit to Tipton St john, followed by Ottery St Mary. We had a wander around Ottery St Mary and checked out the magnificent parish church. We were then in need of a picnic spot for a late lunch, but failed in Ottery St Mary, so headed to Ashclyst Forrest, where we had a very uninspiring walk, but did some across a picnic spot in a clearing. It was quite lovely until the flies descended on us. Time for a sharp exit! The highlight (!) of our day was Blackbury Camp hillfort, which we stopped off at on our way home (extra). BB had had enough for one day, but TT and I enjoyed a quick walk along the embankments.
