Winter walk

My goodness,  the folks around here love a firework or two, so at midnight I had a fantastic display from the back bedroom. This morning I decided I needed a few bits from the shops.   To blow the cobwebs away, I took a longer route up the hill and through the edge of the forest before dropping back to the High Road. I saw this Hebe, still flowering in mid winter in one of the gardens I passed.
My extra is a tree and some amazing ivy stems growing round it.
