the morning after ....

It's a fairly noisy New Year, starting about 11.00pm and ending around 8.30 this morning.  Fortunately we sleep through most of it.  As we make our way to the car park, the evidence of the previous night is all around.

We spend a companionable day at the new house, building flatpack furniture in anticipation of moving in sometime next week.  It's a welcome chore - and somewhere warm to be.  The Train Shed is still without heating and hot water.

That's not quite true; we find, tucked away in the under-stairs cupboard, a fan heater and an electric radiator.  Hmm - perhaps we're not the only ones  who have had problems with the heating.  This is eventually confirmed by some of the other people living in the Train Shed.

So we have some warmth now, but not being one for cold showers, I keep a lookout for people sniffing and pointing at me.

On a personal front, we have an exciting New Year to look forward to as we prepare to move in to our new - and probably - last home.  I hope you too have a good 2020.
