Pie

After last night's festivities we all had rather a slow start; coffee and porridge were both very helpful in their way. DE left around the middle of the day for his train to London and thence Brussels. We did various cleanings and tidyings and DH made a delicious and very traditional steak and mushroom pie for tea. Pastry got a little overdone, but the decorative waxwing he added for me was something of a triumph. (Even if it does look a bit like a hoopoe!)
