Happy New Year!

I am SO TIRED! Rich, Kie, Phil, Neil & I stayed up until almost 5am today ringing in the new year with booze, song quiz, music videos and fun. To be honest I felt like I could have stayed up longer, but it didn't seem a good idea, and I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow! Unfortunately for me in terms of sleep, I woke up at 6:55am with, to put it politely, tummy trouble. However, to put it quite impolitely, I think my body expelling everything I'd took in the night before through my butt may have been what saved me from having a hangover today, so swings and roundabouts innit. (Although I was, yet again, weirdly not as drunk as I should have been, considering that I had drunk a beer, 2 pints of Lambrini, almost 2 pints of what can only be described as cherry sambuca that was briefly introduced to the idea of lemonade, 2 double sambuca shots, and 2 different ciders...!) I went back to bed and squidged in another couple hours sleep before doing a quick tidy of the house then vegetating on the sofa for the majority of the day! Neil had popped off home at about 4am, but the rest of us took in the Villa game (don't even get me started on that VAR decision) and bizarrely enough an episode of Pimp My Ride UK... After Kie & Phil left I went into full zombie mode; we watched a film and the new Doctor Who episode but that was about all my sleepy brain could handle!

As I cosy up in bed, I just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to anyone reading this. I hope 2020 brings us all the stuff that makes us happiest.
