Standing on thin ice

The duck pond has started to freeze over. While some were splashing around in the open water these two daredevils were standing on one leg near the edge. Standing on one leg apparently helps conserve heat, but it also increases the pressure on the ice.

So if the ice gives way and they fall in they will be nice and warm and able to swim back to the edge. That's all right then. I better head back home as it its too cold for me.
