On the kitchen side the walls were (mostly) painted yellow.  The new light colour is an earthy browny-pink called the delicious name of Macaroon Cream.  

I tried to keep the value (if I got the right word: black-whiteness) of the colour as close to the old colour as possible so that it wouldn't need so many coats.  I think I got it a bit too close as it's difficult to tell where I painted except it looks cleaner.

Henny Penny stayed in the other room all day.  I'm pretty enough as I am without getting paint in my feathers like you seem to, she says.  Ops.  She comes out once the first coat is dry to inspect.
