I'm no plumber and I don't pretend to be any kind of guru at DIY, so when having the bathroom done, we call in the "experts". 
Only this expert wasn't such an expert. 
Was I asking too much in expectation that the plumber would connect the hot to H and cold to C?

But I will be polite when he returns and might even make him a brew.
