We decided to leave our idyllic spot by the creek this morning, after Mr B had been to check on the progress of the fires. It was just precautionary, but better to be safe than sorry.

We packed up and drove to Sheepyard Flat. It's usually really busy at this time of the year, but there was plenty of space, as yesterday's thunder storm had set off a series of fires.

We plan to be here for two nights and then to head home earlier than planned. Saturday is supposed to be a major fire risk day, and we don't wan to be anywhere near the bush when that hits.

This is the view from just above our campsite. It's dusty and hot, but the creek is nearby and we've managed not to come too close to any snakes, despite seeing 4 of them so far this trip.
