A little sun first thing this morning!

We woke to one of those magical mornings when the hoar frost has painted all the trees. Unfortunately the sun didn't last long and it's been a grey day though it's snowing quite steadily now. I tried a few bird photos this morning but I don't seem to be getting them sharp - maybe it was still too dark or maybe I had the setting wrong. Long tailed tits were on the bird table and a solitary mistle thrush was eating one of the cut apples while our normal early morning population of blackbirds, house sparrows and blue tits scavenged for food as best they could.

A studio day today but very little creative stuff done - too cold, but plenty of chat and catching up as it was our first meeting for quite a few weeks.

I left early and bought some rock salt to put out on our yard - we can't have our postman slipping on the ice underneath the snow when he delivers our mail. That would never do!

A chance to catch up with a few things now and then I think early to bed - it's been a very tiring few days.
