Nut fan

I love nuts of all kinds, much preferring them to anything sweet. I particularly like nuts that come in shells, as they are much fresher and tastier than ready-shelled in packets. But it is hard to get nuts in shells, except at Christmas, but even then I think they have been in store for a long time. When we were in France over Christmas I picked up a huge bag of walnuts, which are my favourites, and I'm still eating them. They are much better than ones I bought in the UK at the same time - fresher, tastier, easier to shell. And I am delighted that they came from the Dordogne, perhaps from trees we saw when we were there in the summer.
