South from Yesnaby

I headed out hoping to get a glaucous or Iceland gull to Yesnaby. Not nearly as wild today as reported yesterday. I took some photos and walked north along the cliffs and got a nice merlin distantly on a cairn. At Skaill I saw a glaucous fly south across the bay. I thought it might settle near Skara Brae on the beach, but it kept going so no photo. I didn't see one at all last winter so a good spot. Other birds- fulmars, ravens, reeed buntings snipe, ringed plover, turnstone, dunlin etc.
