Life in a Northern Town

Rupert

We are having the usual New Year purge of clutter; in the course of it we discovered my Rupert annuals, from 1969 to 1978.

The older ones are very well thumbed, how I loved them and read them repeatedly from cover to cover, getting completely immersed in the stories and wonderful illustrations. I was thinking how few books and games we had as children compared to the absolute wealth of entertainment there is available at the swipe of a screen today. The books are very precious and will survive the purge!

Sarah and I went to see Little Women - an excellent adaptation with strong performances - a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

PS - 6 years ago today we had a Blipmeet in Greenhead Park.
